AGRIMOLA S.P.A. was founded in 1978 in Casalfiumanese, in Italy. It has quickly become a leader in high quality frozen fruit
production, as well as in manufacturing, processing and marketing of chestnuts reaching total exports over 40%, Since the factory is located
in the foot hills of Imola, in Santerno Valley, it enjoys local microclimate which is particularly suitable for growing apricots, peaches and
chestnuts.
20.000 square meters are covered by the production plant in a total area of 40.000 square meters. It can rely on over 15.000 cubic meter
cold stores with static and floating freezing tunnels, pureed fruit nitrogen storage silos and pureed fruit sterilization plants.
Furthermore, to ensure the excellence of the quality of more than 40.000 tons of processed fruits, cutting-edge equipment is used: sorters
with high resolutions optical sensors to separate foreign organic and inorganic bodies, but also to control products before and after
packaging.
The company’s in-house laboratory has qualified labor and suitable equipment for accurate internal quality checks: the production can be
carefully followed throughout the processing cycle.
Organic product checking is directly certified by ICEA – the ethical and environmental certification institute in Bologna.In Casalfiumanese
plant, over 10.000 tons of fresh marrons and chestnuts are processed globally every year.
Our manufacturing processes are cutting edge, they comply with regulations and all the disciplines required by quality certifications.
Agrimola’s company quality system is also certified according ISO 9001 standard. Concerning hygiene, quality and healthiness of supplied
products, Agrimola hold I.F.S., ISO 22000, ISO 22005 (internal traceability), B.R.C. (just for fresh marrons and other commercialised
products) certifications. One of the top priorities for our company has always been to guarantee the origin of the produce supplied to our
customers and that’s granted by GLOBAL GAP – OPTION 2 certificate.
We have also computerized our “internal traceability” system for fresh and frozen fruit: a bar code label system guarantees the appropriate
quality and facilitate product traceability. These labels are applied to each package or pallet and they include specific information as item
descriptions, suppliers, batch and weight.

AGRIMOLA & ENVIRONMENT:

The environment care has always been one of the aim of Agrimola SpA in 2010 it has implemented in its plant in Casalfiumanese, a photovoltaic system for solar energy production. Installed on the roof of the building, through the disposal of the existing roof, there is a fully integrated facility and without environmental impact.
The plant produces about 400,000 kW per year of clean energy, and it generates a saving of CO2 emissions by over 200,000 Kg!
